Currently when an action is added to the system it can only be edited by those that either added it or to whom it is assigned. Other users are not able to easily edit them, which poses difficulties for certain teams that need to update many different actions, or indeed for individuals, such as administration staff, being able to update an action on behalf of colleagues. While permission can be given by assigning a higher access licence type, this is not ideal so it would be good if permission to edit actions could be controlled easier, such as by a group like application view/edit rights can be. This would allow staff with the 'Enterprise User' licence type to edit any action, if they have the requisite permission group.
Hello Gareth,
We already have the site-wide permission set to 'all', and yet this does not seem to be working, since people still cannot edit actions;
The idea of the request was to ask that there be a simple 'permission group' way of assigning the ability to edit actions, so that it can be given only to those that require it by our internal support team.
Hi Katie,
In InPhase Administrator up can 'upscale' their permissions site-wide. (Please see below). Please note this affects ALL tasks in your InPhase Solution. You can also control task permissions on a task-by-tasks basis using groups using the task notebook.
