We are starting to use tasks and sub task to capture the more project based pieces of work within our organisation. We have set up a table to capture updates and each task has four subtasks below it. The issue we are having is that we want to make it so that the updaters see all of the subtasks under each main task without having to press on the green expand arrow each time within the table. Despite selecting or trying everything we can think of in designer we are still ending up with the subtasks "closing up" rather than saying out on display within the table if that makes sense, even if we expand them out and save them expanded out within designer they are still closing up under the main task. Anyone else have experience of this and can advise on how to display both top and sub tasks within a table?
Hi Ruth, thank you for the information above, that is really useful to know and sounds like we need to log our issue with the Help desk, given the information you have provided it seems we have the opposite issue to yours but hopefully help desk can assist us too.
Hi Julie, we had the opposite, we found that with the sub-tasks were always showing it filled the screen up pretty quickly and was getting difficult to see just the main tasks. Our green expand arrow was permanently on. Also when we wanted to export into Excel just the main tasks, it brought everything with it. We had to log this via a support ticket with Inphase and they sorted that out for us. I'm sure that they can do the reverse for you.
